This week's theme, as I'm sure you've noted, is "Lights".
After my earlier post Prayer, Friends, and Wine, many lovely friends have sent messages about getting together.
This morning, a friend invited me to attend the lighting of the tree ceremony at our local military installation (you all have those within 5 minutes of your house too, right?).
Well, yesterday, the weather was lovely for December....a downright balmy 45 degrees.
Then, the artic wind swung in. I believe with wind chill, the temperature was more like 2 degrees at mid-day. Not exactly perfect weather for an outdoor trip.
Luckily, there was a space to watch from inside and then we got to see Santa, drink cocoa and eat cookies....the makings of a great field trip!
Little Bean was happy to see Santa |
Sweet Pea was not! |
Beautiful tree |
Silly ducky |
And, the piece de resistance.
So in love with the little wisps that have taken 18 months to show up! |
That silly ducky picture is stunning...what a beautiful baby! Sounds like a super fun field trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - we're pretty fond of her :)
DeleteToo bad the arctic came, you're right yesterday it was so nice! We were going to go to Christmas in the Village this weekend but may chicken out! I love Sweet Pea's eyes, beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteI admit, I have no plans to leave the house today, SPECIFICALLY because it's cold :)
